It’s hard to believe we’ll be turning back our clocks this weekend, and that the days will be getting noticeably shorter.

It’s hard to believe we’ll be turning back our clocks this weekend, and that the days will be getting noticeably shorter. If that idea doesn’t thrill you (and really, who’s happy about this?!), here’s a significant benefit to the day: It's time to remember to Change Your Clock Change Your Battery.

For 27 years, the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) has worked to help keep families safe by reminding people to change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when they change their clocks back on November 2.

And, of course, remember to test your smoke alarms monthly to make sure they’re working.
