Have you noticed graffiti anywhere around town? Graffiti can often be found along busy thoroughfares, behind buildings, and on electrical and utility boxes. Please report any graffiti you find to Code Enforcement!
When graffiti is found anywhere in the City, it is the responsibility of the property owner to remove the noted graffiti within 10 days of notice by City Staff. Because graffiti can often be found in obscure places and on objects not owned by the property owner, in the case of utility boxes, etc. the City can work with the responsible party to properly remove the graffiti in a timely manner.
Graffiti often times comes from expressive youth that have a message to send. Regardless of the source, however it is important to respond with immediate removal, in order to disrupt a pattern and improve the appearance of the City. Code Enforcement works closely with the Police Department on graffiti concerns when alerted.
