As part of the reissuance of the of the NPDES MS4 General Permit in 2013, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is accepting comments from the public on the City of Apple Valley's Application and SWPPP Document until September 25, 2014.
The MS4 General Permit seeks to limit impacts to water resources (lakes, rivers, streams, and wetlands) from stormwater runoff by requiring affected communities to develop a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP). The City of Apple Valley's SWPPP lays out the management practices the City employs to prevent pollution originating from its stormwater system. The Application and SWPPP Document up for comment provides an overview of the City's existing management practices and new practices it plans to implement to meet new requirements in the 2013 Reissuance of the NPDES MS4 General Permit.

A hard copy of the Application and SWPPP Document is also available for viewing at the City of Apple Valley Municipal Center and City of Apple Valley Central Maintenance Facility.
