Landscaping for Clean Water Introductory Workshop

Wednesday, March 13, 2019

Are you looking to add some curb appeal to your yard? Do you have a trouble spot that you just can't figure out what to do with? Maybe you would like to attract birds and butterflies to your yard. A new garden might be the solution you're looking for. By attending Landscaping for Clean Water you will see dozens of beautiful, easy to install, cost conscience gardens that not only add flare to your yard but also help improve water quality in the neighborhood pond. We will go over how our yards impact water quality; explain what native plant gardens, raingardens, and pond buffers are and their benefits; and review some local grant opportunities to help with installation costs for a new garden. Interested residents can sign up to attend a garden design workshop at the end of the Introductory Workshop. This workshop is open to all Dakota County residents, and other workshop dates are available throughout the County. Landscaping for Clean Water is offered by the Dakota County SWCD.
