The City of Apple Valley 2021 Capital Improvement Program identifies stormwater improvements at Erickson Park.
Scope of work includes the expansion of the existing infiltration basin (EVR-27) to include both a wet pond and infiltration basin and modification to the existing outlet structure. This basin is located just south of 140 St. W and east of 142nd Path W. A review of this existing infiltration basin (EVR-27) was conducted in October, 2017 and was determined that the basin is currently being underutilized. Expanding this basin has the potential to provide additional phophorous reduction as well as reduce the overall stormwater discharge volume reaching Farquar Lake, thereby increasing the water quality in Farquar Lake.
This project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2021 due available grant funds from Clean Water Act (BWSR) and Vermillion River Watershed Joint Powers Organization.
