Mutual Aid Assistance Group
The Mutual Aid Assistance Group (MAAG) is a multi-agency tactical team comprised of officers from eight different law enforcement agencies. Apple Valley has three officers assigned to the MAAG team. The MAAG’s mission is to provide tactical team support for member agencies during critical or high-risk incidents. The team assists member agencies in successfully containing, controlling, and resolving critical incidents, with the ultimate goal being a peaceful resolution. MAAG team members receive monthly training on specialized weapons and tactics. Participating officers also attend a weeklong training session with tactical teams from neighboring jurisdictions.
