Pandemic Flu Planning. The City of Apple Valley would like citizens to be informed and prepared for a possible flu pandemic. There presently is no influenza pandemic in the United States but governments at all levels are continuously preparing for disasters, including an influenza pandemic. We encourage families and businesses to prepare as well. For more information >>> Typically, June is the leading month for tornadoes but awareness of one of nature’s most terrifying phenomenon can aid in the safety of citizens during a potential threat. In Apple Valley, sirens are sounded whenever a severe thunderstorm warning or a tornado warning is issued for or near the Apple Valley area. (Sirens are NOT sounded for tornado or thunderstorm watches or as an all clear signal.) Pandemic
