Minutes


1. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Rollin Bible.

Members Present: Rollin Bible, Jerry Brown, John Magnusson, David Westbrook

Members Absent: Dale Rodell, Scott Hugstad-Vaa,

Others Present: Charles Grawe, Mark Moore, John Bergman


2. Approval of Agenda

Mr. Bible asked for changes to the agenda.

MOTION: Mr. Magnusson moved, second by Mr. Brown to approve the agenda as presented. Motion passed unanimously.


3. Approval Minutes of December 2, 2002

MOTION: Mr. Magunsson moved, second by Mr. Brown, to approve the minutes of December 2, 2002. Motion passed unanimously.


4. Status of Local Charter Management and Ownership

Mr. Grawe said there is no longer a local operations manager for the Apple Valley, Farmington, Lakeville, Rosemount system. The St. Cloud manager will be sending a letter of introduction and will be available in the area for part of the week. Mr. Grawe said the ownership status of the company has not changed.

Mr. Grawe noted there have been a number of news reports pertaining to financially failing cable systems. He distributed a Communications Law Update regarding bankruptcy in the cable television industry for the members' information.


5. Review 2002 Annual Report

Mr. Grawe briefly went over the proposed report. He noted that the franchise fees collected by the City continue to increase, despite changes in the law regarding cable modem revenues. He also noted the City is collecting the full $.50 PEG fee at this time. Mr. Grawe said he would forward the report for City Council receipt.


6. Coordinator's Report

Mr. Moore briefly went over the items listed in the report.


7. 1st Quarter Complaint Log

Mr. Moore distributed the 1st Quarter Complaint Log.

8. Other

Councilmember Bergman introduced himself.


9. Adjourn

MOTION: Mr. Westbrook moved, second by Mr. Brown to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:31 p.m.
