Minutes of the special meeting of the City Council of Apple Valley, Dakota County, Minnesota, held November 8th, 2002, at 7:30 o'clock a.m., at Apple Valley Municipal Center.

PRESENT: Mayor Hamann-Roland; Councilmembers Erickson, Goodwin, and Grendahl.

ABSENT: Councilmember Sterling.

City staff members present were: City Clerk Mueller, City Attorney Dougherty, Assistant to the City Administrator Grawe, Public Works Director Heuer, and Community Development Director Kelley.

Mayor Hamann-Roland called the meeting to order at 7:32 a.m.

MOTION: of Grendahl, seconded by Erickson, approving the agenda for today's meeting as presented. Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0.

CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS

MOTION: of Goodwin, seconded by Grendahl, adopting Resolution No. 2002-203 canvassing the returns of the November 8, 2002, City General Election and declaring that Mary Hamann-Roland was elected Mayor for a four-year term commencing January 2, 2003; and Robert Erickson and John Bergman were elected Councilmembers for four-year terms, each, commencing January 2, 2003. Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0.

MOTION: of Goodwin, seconded by Erickson, to adjourn. Ayes - 4 - Nays - 0.
