Residential Permit Fees To obtain a building permit, a fee must be paid. Permit fees are either
based on the value of the work you are doing or a set fee. Projects that require a value-based permit include new homes, home additions,
porches, garages, and basement finishes. For value based fee determinations, please call us at (952) 953-2588. Some fees for certain projects cannot be listed because the procedure
to calculate them varies depending on the project. Always verify the total
fees due with our office. Do not send payment for fees with an application. Once the application
and plans are reviewed, we will call and tell you the fees due. Permits
must be picked up in person at City Hall. Exception: Payment in the form of a check may be sent in with roofing
and siding permits.
