Absentee Voting Absentee ballots for voters who are unable to go to their polling places on election day are available from Dakota County, at both the Administration Center, in Hastings; the Northern Service Center, in West St. Paul; and the Western Service Center, 14955 Galaxie Avenue, Apple Valley; and from Apple Valley Municipal Center, 7100 West 147th St. Ballots are available during regular office hours 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In addition, ballots are avilable at the Apple Valley Municipal Center on the Saturday before each election from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., and until 5:00 p.m. on the Monday preceding each election day. The ballots may be obtained, in person, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additionally, the Western Service Center is open until 6:00 p.m., on Tuesdays; Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Applications for the ballots, and the ballots, can be mailed to those who cannot come into the Western Service Center or Municipal Center to get them. Apple Valley residents who would like an application form mailed should call 953-2500 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
