Commission Part 150 Study for the Minneapolis - St. Paul (MSP) International
Airport The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) has prepared a Part 150 study for the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). The Part 150 is a process developed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to assist airports in making nearby neighborhoods more compatible with airport noise. MAC completed its first study in 1987 and the first update was approved in 1994. The MAC submitted an update to its Part 150 program in November 2004 that included an updated Noise Compatibility Program (NCP) and Noise Exposure Maps (NEM) for MSP. The updated program sets policies and procedures for future noise abatement efforts around MSP.
