Common Questions How do I get a recycling bin? You may pick up a recycling bin at the Apple Valley Municipal Center, 7100 West 147th Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Please contact the Municipal Center at 953-2500 to verify that one is in stock before you arrive. If you are unable to stop by during regular office hours, call Charles at (952) 953-2508 to make other arrangements. Each household may receive one recycling bin. If your bin is seriously damaged or lost, you may pick up a replacement bin.
Does Apple Valley host a spring clean-up day? For the past several years, the City has held a Fall cleanup day, which is typically scheduled for late September or early October. Residents, with proof of residency, have been allowed to dispose of a variety of items for a reasonable fee at a central location within the City. Typically accepted items have included scrap metal, tires, furniture, miscellaneous junk, carpet and remodeling debris. Hazardous waste, home electronics and motor oil are among the items that havel not been accepted. Watch for details on this web site under Current News >>>.
Where Can I Find Out More Information on What Can Be Disposed of at What Locations? The Dakota County Green Guide is an excellent source of information, as is the Dakota Valley Recycling site.
