Fire Department
The Lebanon Fire Fighters formed in 1966 with 43 Charter members and two pumper trucks in a station in the former City Hall building. The Department has grown to 80 paid on call firefighters (sometimes referred to as "volunteers"). To visit the "volunteer's" web site >>>. The Department engages in weekly training in addition to responding to emergency calls. Its personnel are well trained in the most modern fire fighting methods and are constantly training to keep pace with new techniques. The Department using a variety of equipment including Thermo Imaging Units, Jaws of Life, Multi Gas Detectors, and AED's. The City of Apple Valley has a fire insurance rating of Class 3. By comparison, Minneapolis/St. Paul has a Class 3 rating.
