Restrictions. The City of Apple Valley follows Mn/DOT Seasonal
Load Restrictions. Restrictions begin Friday, March 14, 2008, at 12:01
a.m. With the implementation of seasonal load restrictions, vehicle weight
may not exceed 5 tons per axle on City streets. Seasonal Weight Restrictions
will be in effect for a minimum of four weeks and a maximum of eight weeks.

This ordinance requires the owners of any residential rental property to register with the City. For more information on this program >>> Comp Plan Update. The City of Apple Valley, between now and June, 2008, is updating the Comprehensive Plan. This is the guiding policy document for the future 20 years of decisions related to land uses, parks and trails, transit and transportation, housing, and resource management. New ideas are also being introduced: attracting more jobs, designing for active living, planning for changes in climate and energy use, anticipating technology advancements, and addressing an aging and more diverse population. Pandemic Flu Planning. The City of Apple Valley would like citizens to be informed and prepared for a possible flu pandemic. There presently is no influenza pandemic in the United States but governments at all levels are continuously preparing for disasters, including an influenza pandemic. We encourage families and businesses to prepare as well. For more information >>> Salary Compliance Notice. Minnesota state law - section 471.701 - requires that "a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest-paid employees." This notice may be provided on the homepage of the primary web site maintained by the political subdivision for a period of not less than 90 consecutive days.
